STEPS TO OBTAIN CCL LICENSE AND MTFC FOSTER PARENT
If You Are Not Licensed:
(This includes Foster Parents certified with a Foster Family Agency)
1) Attend Community Care Licensing (CCL) Orientation
(usually the 1st Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
2) Submit the CCL State Foster Family Home Application
(requires CPR/1st Aid Certification)
3) Submit the DPSS County Application
4) Complete LiveScan fingerprint background check for both CCL and DPSS for all household
members 18 yrs. of age or older
5) Pass CCL Home Inspection
6) Complete DPSS Interview
7) Be invited to attend and complete at least 12 hours of DPSS “P.R.I.D.E.” training
Once You Are Licensed:
1) Submit the MTFC Treatment Foster Parent Application
2) Complete a Home Visit by MTFC Foster Parent Recruiter/Trainer and Team Leader
3) Complete an in-office Interview
4) Be approved for placement by MTFC Program Supervisor
5) Complete 12 hours of MTFC Training
6) Attend four (4) Foster Parent Meetings
